archivd Terms of Service
Effective date: September 2, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Archivd LLC ("archivd", "we", "us") covering your use of the archivd app and related services. By creating an account or using archivd, you agree to them.
1. Who can use archivd
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use archivd. If you're under 18, you should have your parent or guardian's permission.
2. Your account
You're responsible for your account: keep your password private and let us know if you suspect someone else has accessed it. The information you give us (like your email) needs to be accurate so we can reach you about your account.
3. Your content
You own what you put into archivd. Your notes, photos, videos, voice memos, and everything else you capture remain yours.
To run the service, you give us a limited license to host, store, back up, transmit, and process your content, solely to provide archivd's features to you (for example: syncing your captures between devices or computing your personal insights). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for brief periods needed to complete deletion from backups.
We don't claim ownership of your content, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't share it except as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use archivd to break the law, to store or share content that infringes someone else's rights, or to attempt to breach, overload, probe, or disrupt the service or other users' data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
5. archivd Pro subscriptions
archivd offers an optional paid subscription ("archivd Pro") purchased through Apple's App Store.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- Cancelling. Cancel anytime in your App Store account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Pricing. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy. Prices may change; you'll always be able to cancel before a change takes effect.
- Refunds. Payments are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under their policies; we can't issue App Store refunds directly.
If a subscription lapses, your content stays in your account; only the premium features and limits change.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep archivd reliable, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available"; we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we ever discontinue archivd entirely, we'll give you reasonable notice and the chance to export your content.
7. Termination
You can stop using archivd and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the service or other users; where reasonable, we'll notify you and give you a chance to export your content.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: archivd is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied; and our total liability for any claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects consumer rights you're entitled to under the laws of your place of residence.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
10. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use archivd after changes take effect means you accept them.
